Latest News: Hamlet opening July 21 in North Adams, MA

C.I. has been slacking a bit with the blog entries (hopefully, this will change… today). Busy bees that we are, we have tons of news:

Jess & Chris have conceived and directed a post-modern feminist look at HAMLET, that’s one rollercoaster ride of rock ‘n’ roll and physical theatre! We decided to do gender specific casting for Hamlet, Horatio, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern making them women. With a modern eye, we are exploring women in power, women’s social roles and how gay & lesbian love and marriage is perceived.

You can watch a Sneak Peek here of our stylized final fight.

Hamlet plays at The Minerva Arts Center in North Adams, MA. More info can be found at their website.

Also, CI is involved in a large community art project in Easton, PA with Mercantile Home and singer/songwriter, Ron Morris. We had a great first rehearsal today, organizing and choreographing 60+ volunteers to create an impromptu music video performance in next week’s Farmer’s Market! The video will be available here in a few months.

And next week, Jess starts her MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts at Goddard College in Vermont. This work will definitely push the blogging into a deeper and more consistent mode.

Thanks for your patience as we figure out how we can create this digital ensemble.
More to come,
Jess
